Dear Mr Gifkins,                                                                                              

I am writing to you to tell you how much I appreciated kapa haka. It was a lovely experience and I liked going to the kapa haka festival to see how other kapa haka people do it there way and to learn new songs and hakas. If I was here at Parkvale School next year than I would love to do kapa haka again because of the amazing experience I had lasted year. So I do hope that you keep having kapa haka festivals so other people can have the experience that I had.

Maui is a strong brave warrior he has 4 mean brothers that would not let Maui do anything.  

Once upon a time Maui and he’s brothers loved fishing but Maui’s brothers would not let Maui join. But Maui new that aren't a lot of animals around so he new that he had to go fishing for food. So Maui sneaked up to his brothers Waka and jumped in as he was waiting for his brothers he started to fall asleep...

When he woke up he was in the middle of the sea. Suddenly Maui popped out of no where and he surprised his brothers as he surprised his brothers he said “hello my brothers I've come to go fishing to catch me a mighty fish” his brothers said “ we're not giving you any of our bait” so Maui punched his nose and red flashing blood came out so he wiped it on his hock and he tossed his hock in the water and then Maui pulled up his hock and a big mighty fish came up so Maui pried to the god of the sea thank you.

This story is how the north of NZ Teika A Maui came to live.

1. Edwin Hubble was the first one to find the big bang.

2. There are theories, but none have been proven. Most scientists says God, simply because it is possible. If not God then it's a complex theory of Thermodynamics. But your answer is: pending. Maybe someday in the far future we will know.

3. The term was coined by an astronomer who did not agree with the theory. He meant it as a disparaging term, but it stuck, and it has been called that ever since.

4. .It was originally named by Georges Lemaître, who was a scientist.
