Onepoto Caves
The part I liked the most at camp was caving. We went to the caves on the 27th of May. The caves are at Camp Kaitawa. My class, room 17 went to visit the caves. We went there for a class camp to learn about new areas and to have fun.
The track starts on a 10 minute walk, through a number of rocky outcrops and overhangs. The caves look like a big pile of rocks on top of each other. They smell like the dust and they look all oval shaped and circular.
Next time I will go in more caves because I enjoyed it and I want to go in trickier caves to challenge myself. I want to try and fit through little holes and squeeze through skinny openings.
I choose to write about Onepoto caves because I’ve never been in caves before.
